Sticky Fun
I have done this activity with preschoolers; they found it fun and also challenging. It requires constant supervision and help throughout the activity.
For the activity you will need clear contact cut into shapes. I chose squares to keep it simple, and a range of different materials to provide a sensory experience along with helping develop fine motor skills. I used crepe paper, cardboard, silk, cotton, wool, and paddle-pop sticks.
Help the children peel the backing off the contact, then let them choose what they want to attach to it, and where. They will create very interesting collages of texture and color.
The finished squares can be stuck to windows or put on paper (varied colours, etc.)
