Outdoor Safety Tips

Spring is a great time to sit down with your children and talk about safety when being outside.

Remind your children to stop playing and move out of the road when a vehicle is coming.
Don't talk to strangers.
If you live near a wooded area give your child a tiny flashlight to hook onto their jacket zipper and a whistle in case they get lost.
Go over any safety precautions that is necessary for your family.
If you live near water, talk to them about the safety of being around water.
If your children play in dusk or dark, be sure they have reflectors on themselves (wear white clothes also) and on their bikes.
Show your child a photo of a bee hive or wasp nest and tell them the importance of staying away from the real deal.
