Chef Apron
Making aprons was a family tradition I had growing up. There are so many options for making an apron so I will just name a few.
You can buy plain white aprons from a local craft store and jazz them up with personal flair. You can decorate an already made apron with
- iron ons
- fabric pens (for writing and drawing) and fabric ink (for handprints)
- decorative ribbons sewn or glued on
- buttons
To make an apron from scratch take a square piece of fabric large enough to cover your childs lap plus a little to wrap around the sides of their thighs. Sew on a 2 inch wide ribbon or strip of contrasting fabric across the top of the square plus enough to tie a big bow in the back. Decorate your homemade apron using the same ideas as mentioned above.
