Stamp Replacements
If you are a scrapbooker or cardmaker and find that when you sit down to work on a project your little one is right there trying to help by using your good stamps, make your child their own stamps to use. Here are a few ideas for stamp replacements for you kids.
- sponge cut into shapes
- a potato cut in half, pressed with a cookie cutter, shape cut out
- a pencil eraser makes perfect dots
- fun shaped buttons
- the end of a spool of thread
- thick craft foam cut into shapes
- small car tires
Take your homemade stamps and dip them in paint or ink pads. Another idea you can use to paint witht the sponge is to wet the sponge. Squeeze out the excess water, then color the sponge with chalk. Stamp.
