Paper Plate Rainbow

Cut a paper plate in half. Each half will become a rainbow. Optionally, cut out another semicircle centered on the inside edge of the cut plate. You can trace this smaller curve with the edge of a smaller plate or other flat circular object. Color the paper plate to look like a rainbow. To remember the color order of the rainbow, think ROY G BIV: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

Once the plate is colored, you can hang matching crepe paper from each color band to extend the ends of the rainbow.

Hang the rainbow in a window, above your child's bed, or some other sunny spot to catch the light.
