Lace It Up

I remember sitting down with a large can of buttons, a needle, and thread when I was young. The can was filled with big buttons, small buttons, round buttons, square buttons, you name it and it was probably in that can. I would just sit there and string the buttons together. It was fun. You can often buy buttons by the bag for dirt cheap at thrift stores. If you don't have a large amount of buttons you can also use tubular pasta.
