Memory

There are many ways you can make your own memory game. You can use stickers, photos, draw pictures, or cut out pictures from magazines. The important thing is that you have two of each item you are using. Cut cardstock or another sturdy paper into 2x4 inch (5x10 cm) rectangles. Stick your stickers, glue your photos, or draw your pictures onto each rectangle.

If you haven't played this game for a while, the instructions are simple:

• Spread out all of the cards, face down, on a flat surface.
• Flip one card over. Then flip one more card over, trying to match the original card. If you get a match, you get to take the two cards out of play. Otherwise, the two cards are placed face down again.
• If you have multiple players, the next player takes a turn. Play continues with each player attempting a single match until all of the cards matched.
• The player with the most matches at the end of the game wins. This game is fun played alone, too, with no competition but yourself.
